Aquathlon Series

The Series

The ETA is hosting two fun Aquathlons this winter. They are low-key events comprising of a simulated open water swim in the Kinsmen competition pool (all lane ropes out with buoys marking the course) followed by a multi-lap run around the Kinsmen indoor 200m track.

The events are meant to be fun race simulation training sessions to get out of the winter training doldrums and test your fitness.

The distance of the swim and run depend on age groups. Each Age Group will have a male and female wave. Age groups and distances are as follows:

Age Group Swim Distance Run Distance
Youth 7 – 9 1 Lap 3 Laps
Youth 10 – 12 2 Laps 5 Laps
Youth 13 – 15 2 Laps 8 Laps
Developing Racers 16 – 23 3 Laps 10 Laps
Adult Group A (Experienced) 3 Laps 10 Laps
Adult Group B (Beginners) 3 Laps 10 Laps

1 swim lap = 120m, 1 run lap = 200m

There will be manual timing by volunteers with some fun prizes and awards at the end of the event in the track area.

We are limited to the first 100 participants due to the short window we have the pool.

Check back here for full event information closer to the event.
